Season's Greetings to our MPE families,

It's the most wonderful time of the year! In December, we have the chance to reflect on the past year and look forward to the start of a new year filled with exciting hopes and dreams! As I reflect on this year, my first thought is "thankful." It has been four years since I became the Principal of Mimosa Park Elementary. Your generosity and kindness are extraordinary! Thank you for being such a vital part of this loving MPE family. You all are the reason MPE is moving from Good to Great! I applaud each of you for your flexibility, understanding, and resiliency! Whatever 2026 may bring, together we are one family and our future is limitless!

Tis the season to be jolly! While we look forward to the activities, hustle, and bustle of this holiday season, we remain focused on our core business of TEACHING and LEARNING by providing quality instruction and engaging learning experiences for our students. Quarter 2 ends Friday, December 19, 2025. Teachers will continue to instruct students and assess their skills in order to determine progress made towards mastering essential learning standards. Please encourage your child to complete all lessons and tests to the best of his/her ability to end the first semester with academic success. By ensuring your child completes all schoolwork, you are reinforcing our home-school partnership, which makes a positive difference for all stakeholders!

Jingle Bells! As we prepare to ring in 2026, let's take time to acknowledge the great that 2025 has brought us. We continue to celebrate Students of the Month and our Teacher and Faculty Member of the Month. Our Pelican Pride is at an all-time high as we celebrate the successes of 2025 at MPE!

Let it Snow! (Fingers crossed!) During this season of love and thanksgiving, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please take time out of your busy schedules to celebrate this special season with family and friends as you make memories that will last a lifetime. Please be safe during our holiday vacation and I look forward to having our MPE family back on campus: Teachers return January 5, 2026 and students on January 6, 2026.
