MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

Mimosa Park Elementary is dedicated to delivering high-quality instruction in order to develop empowered, empathetic, and responsible lifelong learners.

Mimosa Park Elementary School, a public school approximately 25 miles from New Orleans, first opened its doors in 1961 as a K-8 school. With more than 60 years of academic service, Mimosa Park remains a vital, well respected institution in the community, revered for its tradition of academic excellence.

Online School Payments - Summer Information

As we close out the 2024-2025 school year, PowerSchool fees will be converted at the beginning of July into “Start of Year” balances for the next school year. Therefore, the Online School Payments website's ability to pay for items relating to PowerSchool fees will be disabled from Friday, July 18th through Sunday, July 20th, 2025.

Activity-related items, such as spirit wear, camps, or other events, will be unaffected if they are available. If you have any current PowerSchool fees outstanding from the 2024-2025 school year, the final date for payment through the Online School Payments website will be Friday, July 4th, 2025.

You may access the online fee payment system at http://osp.osmsinc.com/stcharlesparish/ or on your school’s webpage under “For Families" and then "Student Fees" and then "Online Fee Payments.” Please visit the FAQ there if you have website-specific questions.

Please contact your school's bookkeeper if you have any questions about the transition process.

The St. Charles Parish School Board held its monthly meeting on May 21, 2025, at the Professional Learning Center in Luling. Agenda items included resolutions, student recognition, change orders, substantial completions, personnel, bid/proposal approvals, revisions to policy, and the revised FY25 budget.

Jill Clement

Jill Clement teaches reading and writing at Mimosa Park Elementary School and has 27 years of years of experience. Her dream for her students is that they will leave her room feeling confidence in themselves. She wants them to realize their potential and know that they are smart and capable, not only in academics, but in all aspects of life!

Entergy Waterford 3

Mimosa Park Elementary School is honored to partner with Entergy Waterford 3 in support of the education of our students.

Waterford employees conduct STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities with students at Mimos Park Elementary School. Waterford provides the school with an annual donation of $15,000 to support various school projects throughout the year.

PTO members at its Fun Run Fundraiser for Mimosa Park Elementary

Parent Teacher Organization

Our Parent Teacher Organization continuously goes above and beyond to support both the staff and students of Mimosa Park Elementary School.

In 2024, the Mimosa Park PTO helped to raise more than $36,000 through a fun run. The money raised will be used for additions and renovations of the school's picnic area which is often used as an outdoor classroom experience in addition to providing an area for family members to eat lunch with their students.
